The organization:
The RELIFE Foundation is a non-profit organization created to support the RELIFE Student Housing project and aims to facilitate the participation of RELIFE residents in social impact initiatives, promoting inclusion and environmental sustainability.
The RELIFE Foundation was created with the goal of inspiring and preparing students to become the leaders and social entrepreneurs of tomorrow. How? By directly involving them in concrete projects and by promoting knowledge of and connections with third sector organizations, associations, and local social enterprises.
The Project:
ABITARE GLI SPAZI – Artist Residency & Project Incubator
The project “Abitare gli Spazi” was created with the aim of transforming RELIFE Student Housing into a permanent laboratory for artistic, social, and cultural experimentation, offering emerging young artists a space for growth, exchange, and creative production.
The 2026 edition is conceived as a residency and project incubation program aimed at young artists under 30, both Italian and international, who need time, space, and support to develop their artistic research.
The residency will take place between May and June 2026 for a total duration of 6–8 consecutive weeks. The selected artists will live within RELIFE Student Housing, engaging daily with a multicultural community of students from more than 25 countries.
The project aims to:
– to support young talents and encourage their professional growth;
– to activate participatory and inclusive artistic processes;
– to enhance living spaces as places of cultural production;
– to strengthen the role of RELIFE as a cultural and social hub within the local community.
The RELIFE Foundation will provide free accommodation, workspace, a materials budget, and curatorial and organizational support. Artists will be expected to cover their own travel, meals, and insurance, and to donate one of the works created during the residency to the foundation.
